Caveman Roams Stafford Countryside
Cannock Chase in Stafford is apparently well known for it's sightings of mysterious ape-men and werewolves, but one local expert is now claiming that the creature that has been spotted on multiple occasions is actually a stone age man that lives in the old mining tunnels below Cannock Chase.
Stig Of The Dump Terrorises Stafford | The Morningstarr*
This subterranean stalker is being blamed for the disappearance of people's pet dogs. Is the presence of a stone age man any more unlikely than a British Bigfoot? Or are the sightings all completely bogus and this is just the case of a few dogs wandering off and getting lost?

Re: Caveman Roams Stafford Countryside
How could a Caveman still exist? would it be a modern Caveman? is it just some loner living in the woods.

Re: Caveman Roams Stafford Countryside
The theory is it's a proper caveman that somehow survived underground for millions of years. Or it traveled in time like Stig of the Dump did.

Well, it's either that or some tramp. I know which my money would be on.![]()
Re: Caveman Roams Stafford Countryside
Regarding the sentence, "Duffy’s expert opinion is that the events on Cannock Chase don’t warrant any serious investigation" : can I just contradict this and suggest that there are plenty of happenings on the Chase worthy of serious investigation...... probably!?!?!?
Unfortunately, I have to say 'probably' because so much blatant stupidity has been shown towards such topics in this area over recent years - mainly by the local press - that any attempts at serious research would simply be an utter waste of time now.......
I'm certainly not poo-pooing the Chase as a potential area of great interest to the paranormalist, but I'd suggest checking any and all references over and over again.........

holy shit

Re: Caveman Roams Stafford Countryside
We should go camping there.
Re: Caveman Roams Stafford Countryside
Seriously - if you do get the chance to go camp there, it's a fantastic place..... visually and historically.
Unfortunately, if you do visit the region at night, be aware that it's utterly brimming with 'doggers' at night!! As you tend to use car parks as base centres from which to mount investigations, it can all get a little confusing at times!!
Classic scenario to find car after car pulling expectantly onto a lonely car park, only to find 20 kagoule wearing nerds standing in a group staring back at them!!!!
