Surely a few nukes would do the job? Personally I don't buy into a lot of the hype, but there must be enough nukes in existence to wipe us all of the face of the planet?
Even that would be more difficult than you think. You'd need a lot of nukes to cover the entire surface of the earth, and the fallout won't kill everyone. It would still take a LOT of nukes to do it. I doubt it's gonna happen. If we destroy ourselves, it'll be in other ways.
