Yeah, the wife totally killed him. Everyone knows decapitation isn't a great way to go, especially with a chainsaw. Don't businessmen usually shoot themselves if they want to suicide?

Or why not kill yourself humanely? Like with some chemical that puts you to sleep and you don't wake up?

Or why not kill yourself at all... it's not like it solves any problems. Oh, sure, your pains will go away. But you'll be dead, so it doesn't matter.

Gassing yourself in your car is supposed to be the easiest way of topping yourself. You just go to sleep.

Trouble is, the less violent ways tend to be much slower.

Or just trying a completely different method that was slightly less violent.

More than likely. You'd be better with a sharp knife.

Bit messy and painful though. You might just make a right mess then drop the chainsaw because it hurt too much.

If he managed to cut his carotid artery he would be unconscious in seconds and probably dead within half an hour.

Yes, but the argument stands that you can't really kill yourself in such stupid ways. You'd just fall unconscious or something before you got the job done. You might still manage to die, but it could take hours or days, in which time you could be found.
