    Everybody panic!

Every year round here the shops run out of something, this year its lemons. What the hell do people want all those lemons for? I think they is trying to be posh and serve a slice in their coke just because it's Christmas.

There's an abundance of cream though.

There was a monkfish shortage in Tesco yesterday.

I've got lemons though, but I couldn't get limes.

I use them to squirt on my fish.

The only shortage here is milk. I'm hoping I can get some tomorrow though.

I did the 'christmas shop' today and it was so civilised. It wasn't crowded and the shelves were nicely stocked. The shops only close on christmas day here so I don't think people feel the need to stockpile food the way they do in England.

Its this fascination with bulk purchasing of white bread and milk that cracks me up lol. My local shop is a 15 min walk away and is open boxing day. Nice little spa store and i would guess most corner shops are also open. I really can`t comprehend all this bulk buying ? I also don`t get why if folk need to eat this much white bread, then how come the shops don`t run out of sennakot ? With that much bread shoved down yer trap, it would bung me up for a month rofl.

The bread will be for all those turkey sandwiches people have for a week after christmas.

I think the bread and milk thing goes back to the time when shops closed for longer though. My parents grew up having to stockpile it over christmas and naturally their kids followed suit because you tend to do what your parents do when you leave home. Nobody seems to have grasped that we're not living in the 60's anymore.
