Default It's easy to get into arguments in forumland.

Your words can be twisted, shaped, cut, deleted all sorts really .
So if it happens on forums isn't it just as likely that it happens in real life, you say one thing and an innocent comment changes hands a few times with the odd word changed and suddenly your called all sorts.
There is a lesson to be learned somewhere in the whole process but i've never learned it.
The lesson is to be a wallflower, never comment on anything controversial or debatable, never speak or comment to anyone of a different age group or gender or sexual preference or colour or religion or race because someone somewhere WILL take offence.
Always be subservient and passive, agree with every comment or view expressed by anyone, cower in front of adversity or aggression, admit that the other person is more intelligent, better educated and better informed than you and apologise, apologise and then apologise again.
This behaviour always carries Brownie points and should be followed at all times regardless of the most extreme provocation.
The biggest favour you can do for yourself in forumland is to kiss ass and brown nose, this is a golden rule to avoid criticism and achieve the coveted goal of all wallflowers without an opinion.
    ANONYMITY.
Once this status is earned you will be able to join numerous forums and be shown respect.
You will become a valued member of forum society and be respected and revered by all who follow your lead.

Your name will have stars attached to it,accolades will be written and the silent applause will send you into raptures of joy and merriment.

Now you have achieved the ultimate goal.

You are now assured of immorality.

    YOU ARE A MODERATOR
This is a joke thread by the way,not to be taken seriously but like I said in my introduction,I come on for a laugh,no hidden agendas.
Dont you think this thread is quite funny?
Maybe I am missing the mark and no-one thinks i'm funny at all?

    I think it's quite funny.

You've had some weird experiences in forumland and not all through fault of your own but you're right about someone somewhere will take offence about what's written if you're slightly controversial. It's just on the forums you've been on they're so uptight that they regulary take offence to anything and everything and then don't ever shut the fuck up about it, like the boring nags they are.

It takes time to get to know people in real life and on a forum it takes 10X as long cos what's taken a day to say here would perhaps only take 10 minutes to say out loud, then there's no facial expressions. You can use the green smilie to indicate you're having a laugh but this can be interpreted by some that you're a grinning idiot so you can't really win all round.

I'm fine, I went for a lie down for an hour at about nine last night and so woke up wide awake at about 4 am. I'll be going back for a few more hours at the first sign of a yawn.

I can't stand to be bored, it'd drive me insane. I have to be doing at all times. . It's funny you should say that about the flowers though, I was just looking out of the window when I made me brew and was tempted to go and trim my clematis.

I think i've planted six clematis ,lots of climbing roses all sorts really ,dahlias ,Russian ivy ,anything that will cover the fence and pergoda arch I built but the dogs pee on anything new so lots die.
I never dreamed You could love a garden but I do.
If everything grows it will be magic despite the dogs and kitten.
I've lost loads but if half survive I will have a picturesque garden to look out on.

I don't believe that school/college/universtity 'education' in itself is overly important, but education in the school of life is most important IMLO.
Being controversial is fine within limits, but pushing people for no other reason than to get them to react isn't always amusing.
Starting threads for no other reason than to cause controversy doesn't prove anything, it's more likely to put people off of joining a forum and cause the loss of existing members.
Ck and M* are hardened forumers who can take almost anything with a pinch of salt and laugh it off, many others can't and they're the ones we should all consider?

I said to M that I will never get in an argument with you again and so I wont but dont you believe that pulling people up for the slightest grammatical mistake puts people off even more?

I'm well aware that I had no schooling but it's not nice having every post, thread or comment picked over for mistakes.

Fair play that you think i'm a pain in the arse,I dont blame you for that because we are different but it does get a bit much when you yourself make lots of spelling mistakes but I ignore them completely,no education but i'm shit hot at spelling so they stand out.
When I make mistakes ,It's normally a typo or i'm hitting the keys as fast as I can to try to keep up and I never Google.
Listen SFB,lets just agree that we are opposites and some prefer your style of posting and some prefer mine
I'm not a racist or homophobic by the way but if someone winds me up I fight back and then there are no limits with me. Then I come out fighting so if you are in the way you will get the backlash same as everyone else,it's not personal with me.
People put words in your mouth that you never said or meant and suddenly you are accused of all sorts regardless of the source or the truth.
Yes,ive started all the are you homophobic or racist ?threads but that's a direct response to being accused of saying things I didn't say.
If you let it lie,I will honestly.
I didn't come on here to argue but sometimes your past reputation catches up with you.
That happens in life as well.
