    Default Hardware Error on laptop

All of a sudden this evening I got this on my laptop- pic should be attached. I've done a diagnostics test and it says hardware error. I dont imagine anyone can tell me what to do but if you do have any ideas that'd be great. I was planning on taking it back to PC World tomorrow cos I'm hoping laptops have 12 month warranty but can't find the receipt the box says PC world on it so I'm hoping that proves it enough. If not going to have to call Dell yet again! I've had nothing but problems with it

    A few options.

    Loose hard drive cables.
Someone's been messing with your BIOS (or a virus maybe)
    Others options.

    Google the pxe error.

Thanks. It's so bizarre it just went like that. My cousin been looking at photos I've put on Facebook so hoping he might be able to help. But if not I'll google the error. Never thought if that

He thinks it's s hardware error or a virus that's affected the back up as well as I can't get to the back up menu to restore to factory settings. Very annoying !!

First this first, make sure the hard drive is properly connected.

Looks to me like the hard drive is knackered. It basically can't find the boot device.

    This article might help.

Basically you would need to check the connctions, as Ben says. Assuming it is an internal disk, that means opening up the case, and you may not be confident of doing that yourself. If it is within warranty, take it back to the shop and get them to sort it. It may be an idea to check the BIOS as well, as per the article, as that might narrow it down to a broken hard drive or something else.

P.s. I'm assuming there isn't a usb drive plugged into it or anything. Just covering all the bases.

Thanks timey!! Nothing plugged in and no disks in. It's only 4 months old so gonna take to PC world and ask them rather than opening anything up god knows what damage I'd cause
