    No, it's wood that is collected early in the morning, just after dawn.

    Many lumberjacks get 'morning wood' to give to their wives (e.g: for cooking meals using a wood stove during the day and evening).

    Sometimes, morning wood doesn't appear and the wife is upset. A scenario:

    Wife: "You've not got wood this morning. Why is that ?"

    Lumberjack: "Bloody hell woman, me and the boys had a skinfull last night. I'm buggered. You won't be seeing wood for a while."

    How will she perfom her daily tasks if she doesnt get her morning wood? She wont be able to put tea on the table.
