Middle aged?

What's middle aged? Some twat tried telling me you're middle aged once you're in your thirties.

I don't know if we have one anymore. Although few years ago they said 40 was the new 30, then recently they said 50 was the new 30. If the average age to snuff is about 80 then 50 being 30 makes 60 middle aged. Ish.

We're supposed to live into our 80's nowadays, so that'd make our 40's middle age.

No they were a lot older than 30, they were just trying to make out I was an old duffer like they were.

I don't think middle aged is actually supposed to mean the middle of your life time, I think there are certain classes.

According to my dictionary middle aged is 45 to 65, but as we're living longer I suppose that might have crept up so it's more like 50 to 70?

I wouldn't class anything older than about 55 as middle-aged! ;-)
