Help! How do you get a teenager to tidy their room?

I've tried (practically) everything. I've asked, i've been reasonable, i've shouted, i've threatened, i've asked nicely, i've explained, i've been through consequences, i've punished, i've been at the end of my tether and I get met by a blank.

He will do it but it's always in a minute or later (which means a week on Tuesday).

It's like a bloody burglary scene in there. We're running out of pots and things are getting lost or broken or damaged and still, blank look.

He likes it tidy and everything in it's place, but he's no motivated to do it himself. Lazy boy

Any ideas? It drives me bloody mad it does and I don't want it so mummy has to do it, his future wife will not thank me!

Hide?! That shit was gone never to be seen again!!! I remember one day being mighty upset because I couldnt find something and her words were.... 'Those that cannot hear must feel'! I didnt let it happen again.
