Fucking Nat West!

My Maestro card has started to split so I ordered a new one last week. It's taken a while to arrive.

The bastards at Nat West cancelled my current card yesterday and I can't use it now. I've been to work to check for my new card but it's still not arrived there.

The woman at Nat West said she didn't know why the card had been cancelled and they can't reactivate it.

I left natwest over a year ago cos they stitched me up, 2 accounts one savings and one current, went overdrawn by 9p and the hairbears charged me £28 for a letter telling me I was being charged £35 for being overdrawn, I said to them why did you not take it from my savings account as you have done previously? reply we can not do that !! I am like give me all of my money now cash close my account Now I had to wait 3 hours for them to sort it out and then opened an account with A+L(and it was not because they were counting my money cos I dont have that much)

This has happened to us before as well. They have no sympathy for the fact that you can't buy anything until the new card comes through.

What a silly comment. It's got nothing to do with having your eggs in one basket. many people have more than one account, but the others will be savings accounts that don't have instant access. And it doesn't change the fact that the banks regularly stuff people up with their incompetence.

Nat West, is one of the worst high street banks, IMO. My husband has an account there. On the advice of the business manager, he paid in a cheque, in order to open a new account. She set up the new account. A few days later, he got notice that he would be charged £58, because he had not let the cheque clear.
He obviously refused to pay, they sent a grovelling apology, with a huge boquet of flowers for me. Lovely, ...except they were huge lillies, and I have just worked out that the smell is what has been giving me a banging headache for over a week.

reclaiming bank charges is my speciality and got some back for someone going back to 1990, which munched off the Halifax somewhat. Now I do the same in an Age Concern office twice a week for pensioners, gratis.
