A salad Or Not.

My wife ordered a fillet steak in a restaurant which was crap but that is not my point her.

My point is this below.
She also ordered a side salad to go with it, tomato, lettuce, onion, apple slices, chunk of orange, chunk of lemon, chunk of pink grapefruit, kumquat, raw mushroom sliced and a bleedin big strawberry.
Enough to put you off the steak IMO.

A salad to accompany steak in my eyes is lettuce, tomato, onion, celery.

What do you reckon???

I asked for salad for my kids in Frankie and Benny's the other week. What they got were slightly warm raw carrots, mange tout and raw cabbage.

I'm not really myself, but the kids enjoy it and it's the easiest place to get to that isn't a McDonalds or a KFC. Plus, I've always liked the fact they do free extra salad or veg for the girls, and it's usually good.

I'd forgotten all about it til now, so have got their head office address and will do a letter of complaint to them, because they don't have a contact email.

Yeah, I supose they're not the worst. It's certainly better than maccy D's or some such. We used to like it and they do some good food sometimes, but we had a bad experience with some spare ribs once and never been back.

The Hogshead pub in cheltenham once served me RAW bbq pork ribs. I just thought they were a bit cold until I bit into them.

I threw up after I left.
