I like A because it looks neater but the mrs likes B because she buys paper with stupid designs on it and you get a better view of them in position B. Therefore if I change a roll its A and if she changes it is B but either way A or B is preferable to C...

I'm not saying you have to hold the top, but for some reason I feel the need to if it's in the A position.

I think it depends on where your loo roll is kept as well. I don't like to think I'm making it easy and relaxing for my family when they go to the toilet, so I put the roll holder to the side and behind them so they have to have a workout if they want to wipe.
