It's weird living where I live. There's no industry around here, well, not much, so we don't tend to hear of many job losses etc.

I know people who have over stretched with mortgages but they seem to be Ok as they have secure jobs.

no industry anywhere, that's part of the British problem,
the Global problem, is just down to fuel costs and shortages.
