Why is Conrad Black able to write "From our own banged up correspondence" for a Sunday newspaper? Is this a new trend? A new meaning for being "in the pen"?

Does other medias have several Cool Write Handed Lukes to pen reports for them?

I seem to recall Lord Archer used his time in prison for other matters but are we really saying if you are infamous enough - here is a media platform for you to whinge from?

I sort of read Lord Black's piece and thought my life hasn't been exactly altered by reading the work! The self importance of being Earning perhaps?

Amazing what particular people can get away with and STILL be welcome back into the fold.

I smiled though. Same back page - Spindrift - new beer from the coast? Yeah.

The Gloom that is Portugeuse was wearing AIG on his chest. The pint I was quaffing was (to avoid advertising let us call it SadMan's) Broadside. Spindrift is also Sadman. My Broadside is whilst I grieve for the innocent involved in the AIG disaster how about Man Utd getting rid of The Gloom and a bit of the problem goes doesn't it?

Or am I DRAWING the wrong conclusions Sir Alex?
