A couple of weeks ago a police chopper was hovering about here with it's light on and stuf. Something was going on at the pub up the road. Never found out what was going on. And this was about 1-1:30 in the morning.

It was a 15-year old kid fell off the cliff, as usual. Apparently happened at around 8:30 last night, so that was them being rescued 2 hours later. What they were doing on the cliffs at that time (it would have been dark by then) I've no idea.

It's the weekend! No more Saturday school for my son, so I can now have 'real' weekends!

In France they've abolished the Saturday as of this year, so it's just a 4 day school week now.

No, it's the Wednesday they have off. Some schools had the half days on the Wednesday instead of the Saturday (High schools), so it stays the same for them. I thought the idea was to reduce their holidays (they have more then in the UK) to compensate for the lost hours, but it looks like they're not taking any holidays away either.

Parents petitioned to get rid of it because it disrupts their weekends (which it did). It meant you couldn't go away for the weekend, but now you can!
