Shame?
A fairly short word but the lip smacking relish the tabloids can get into that one word!
I was net surfing the usual British tabloid suspects this Sunday and began to laugh at the hypocrisy of us all.
Me too I stress.
The prospective Vice President for the Republicans has already possibly faked "nude" photos published - suggesting it is her in earlier life. So what - even if she had?
Two days I make it and her earlier reportedly laughing off the suggestion that she does look like a "naughty school teacher".
I nodded in agreement after reading that point before remembering myself and asking "
what could they possibly mean?"
And under a "Caught Out!" headline - a celebrity was shamefully shopping!
Will we ever have a headline "Shame - No ones shame to report this week"?
I doubt it. They (my favourite papers) could always use their own in any week short of tales.
"My shame at all my reporting work being boiled down to the allegedly salacious bits!"
I love a bit of shame and I have enough in my past life -
did anyone else hear a starting gun go off?
but it is so overused and misused by the newspapers for their stories sometimes.
What a
shame
