Try not to make the same mistake the other geezer did? Leave out wasps, crane flys, and a long list of critters that I can't be bothered typing.
May even be a good time to commit suicide when the time comes and let the animals fend for themselves after the water subsides, I'm sure they'll do a better job than we have!!!!????
