Did he do a version of Grandad too? I remember it must have been 1986 and he turned on the Christmas lights in Manchester, I'm sure he sang 'Grandad', and my mate's little sister was in the choir singing along with him. She said he was a really nice bloke, and nothing like the cunt he portrayed on the flickering telly-box.
