Arcade Fire - Neon Bible

I was eagerly awaiting this release after loving their debut record (Funeral) and finally got hold of it today. The theme of the album is a lot more worldly but the expected multitude of instruments is still there. I'll have to give it a few more listens before forming a definate opinion but first impressions are very good.

Anyone else listened to it?

Bloody hell. I need to know people like you I think because I never know when these sort of tickets are availalble. Are they doing a UK tour?

They're doing a small UK tour, but the tickets sold out in minutes. I was one of the lucky ones.

I will make an effort to pass on concert information as fast as I can get it.

I had a look around after this post and signed up to the Ticketmaster email notification service for a few bands I like. Not sure how good that is but they say they'll email you in advance if any bands are playing in your area.

They're pretty good, e-mail weekly but only cover what's happening in your local area if I remember correctly.

How local is local I wonder?

Well when I get their e-mails they tend to just cover the Manchester area. That's fine but sometimes bands tour and don't come to Mancheter.

Exactly. Bands never come to the Island, except for the Festival and Bestival so I'm hoping they include Southampton/Portsmouth etc.

Oh yeah, I forgot you were from the Isle of Wight. I think it goes off your postcode, so I'm guessing you'll be OK with stuff from Portsmouth and Southampton.
