What's The Hardest Film For You To Watch?

IMO, Lilja 4-Ever would be my choice. Never before have I seen a film in which the situation for the main character has gone from bad to worse and then keeps going downhill from there.

As a moviegoer, you're trained to expect high points and low points in a film, even a depressing drama. So when there are no high points, a film like this can really hit you hard.

If you like emotional dramas, I'd highly recommend this movie. You probably won't ever want to see it again but you may appreciate the experience the first time around.

You thought at least something might go her way, but like you say, a downward spiral
It really makes you feel helpless. You get dragged in and really want to help this girl

A good film, just for the realism, but I won't be watching it if I am feeling down

Particularly the bit when the parents kick the boy/robot out into the woods and fuck off - how can they do that?

Then at the end when he's found in the far future by those wierd supposedly evolved humans and they construct the perfect day for him with his mother, but it can only be one day - I'm fucking crying now just thinking about it!

It is that wonderful former child actor in it. He made me sob in Sixth Sense when talking to his mum in the car.

And even Jude Law was watchable in AI

Talking of Bruce Willis - I have to turn off Hudson Hawk. Andie McDowell - she's not worth it! and even that idiot David Caruso turns up in it.

Awful waste of celluloid in my opinion.

Requiem for a Dream byfar will beat any heroin addict movie.
I had to watch this movie because I was doing a role in a play where I was a morphine addict for two years, and it's the most realistic and disgusting movie about the drug I've ever encountered.

It's so nasty when you see the guy's arm and it's heavily infected from all of the needles and.. eh.
