George Lucas planning on making two Star Wars TV movies.
It has been revealed that at the all star Time magazine dinner for the 100 most influential people George Lucas said he is readying Clone Wars, an animated series for TV that's derived from Star Wars. Apparently any Star Wars characters appear in Clone Wars, but voiced by other actors.
But more news!!! He said that he will make two more live action films based in the Star Wars era.
"They won't have members of the Skywalker family as characters," he said. "They will be other people of that milieu."
The two extra films will also be made for TV and probably be an hour long each. But, like Clone Wars, Lucas doesn't know where on TV they will land.
Re: George Lucas planning on making two Star Wars TV movies.
If the latest three films are anything to go by then any future shows won't bode well. How far can he stretch the goodwill generated by the initial three movies?

They should make a regular TV show. TV shows these days are often better than films, and more popular.

BattleStar Galactica is a prime example.

Battlestar is great and so is Heroes.
