I've never been in one with a free minibar. Those things are always very expensive. We usually buy our own juice and stick it in the bar to keep it cool.

We've never taken anything either, except maybe those little complimentary bottles of shampoo or shower gel, but they're yours anyway.

Yeah we are heading to Blackpool on Saturday morning, we'll be travelling from Bolton so we'd only be 45mins away from Blackpool.

I daren't store stuff in the mini bars until I've read the leaflet regarding them. Some charge you for opening the fridge and just looking at it.

If the fridge hasn't got sensors, I'll take stuff and replace it before leaving.

It's always been the "honesty" ones where we have been, i.e. you tick off what you have used. I'm sure they know what you have used anyway so will penalise you if you are not honest. But usually I never use anything from a minibar - they are way too expensive.

My husband occasionally has a beer, but only after checking it's not much more expensive then going down to the bar. I can't drink coke n' stuff, so I always take loads of little bottles of lemonade and water whenever we go anywhere.

I've got into a routine of always taking drinks with me (wherever I go) because when we moved here, I was shocked at the price of a can of pop (it's only the supermarkets where you get them cheaper). I refused to be ripped off - now, I don't think it's that expensive (because I'm used to the price), but I still rarely buy it if we're out (it's about 2euros - roughly the same price as one from a mini bar in a French hotel).
