Yeah - I was discussing this film the other day but liked "Silent Running" - Bruce Dern - even more - spiritually - even though it was such a downer at the end.

more "spiritual" because SO MUCH is left open to the viewers interpretation, or more spiritual because so much is just visual imagery with out much meaning to the film. See that is where i see a difference in the 2 movies. personally I think Blade Runner is a better story - just the words on paper better story, then you add in the amazing visuals to this great story and that is why I rank it higher. both are great flicks no doubt
