Yesterday Google mentioned yet another web service - Google Knol (Knol = a unit of knowledge).
Basically, this is a knowledge based submission site where 'experts' write articles and users have a chance to benefit from their wisdom. It's currently invitation only.

The interweb as we know is vast! Huge amounts of content on many many subjects spread right across the internet and so it is often hard to find good quality factually correct well written yet easily digestible articles. Even if you go to places like Wikipedia, it's not that easy to get a sense of accuracy.
Google knol is open for submission on any topic but more interestingly it's been announced that Google will share revenue with the 'experts'. This is highly likely to have serious impact on sites such as Wikipedia who rely on their authors to provide articles for fun (i.e. for free).
