    Default Watching videos on YouTube

If I wanted to watch a video on YouTube that wasn't viewable in my country because of copyright, is there a way to still watch it?

There is, but you're getting into the area of using proxies and VPNs, which is a bit much for watching Youtube vids.

If it's viewable in the UK, I could download it and email it if you wanted. Or you could try Daily Motion, as there's a lot of duplicates on there.

If you want me to have a go at downloading it, give me a shout.

Cheers Ben, that's kind of you but it's not a video that I can't see. It's one that I've uploaded myself, but it's not viewable in the UK. My mum's not really with it when it comes to computers, so I was looking for an easy way for her to watch it. It's too big to email and I don't even know whether she'd know what to do with it when she got it. All she really knows is facebook and clicking on YouTube. Trying to explain anything more would be torture. I don't know of anywhere else to upload it to get around the copyright thing either.

I could take the music off, but the video would be a quick bit of dull footage without it.

How about putting it on a disc and posting it to her ?

It's only about a minute long, so not really worth a disc.

Upload it to Facebook, that will work.

Upload it privately to Youtube, then there won't be any issues. I don't know why there are any issues with what you've uploaded anyway, unless you've specified it's only for frogs.

As I said, upload it to FB, there won't be any issues there.

I tried Facebook, but it was taking ages to process so I deleted it. It usually does it more or less instantly, so I suspected they weren't gonna allow it.

I'll try setting it to private to see if that works.

Facebook won't disallow something instantly like that, someone would have to report it.

I'll try it again. I assumed they were using that recognition software when it was taking so long.

    Thanks Ben.

I was obviously too impatient last night because I've managed to put it on Facebook with no problems.
