The only people who use a different date for Christmas are the Orthodox Christians. They do this because they still date it by the Julian calendar, not the Gregorian calendar that we use. Currently, these calendars differ by 13 days (it will be 14 days after 2100), so Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas on January 7th. All other Christians celebrate Christmas on 25th December.
