Children in Need............
.............of a fucking slap!
My little joke.
Children in Need gets right on my fucking wick. There's the daft twats doing imbecilic stunts to raise paltry sums of money in an attempt to gain some self importance, I can kind of cope with them. I'm actually all for cocking about in public, it's the attitude that goes with it that's a bore.
Then there's the entire day wasted on the fucking TV and radio coverage. Put a Doctor Who marathon on or something you cunts.
But what really nails the tin hat on it is the initial concept. Why the fuck should I be shamed into taking financial responsibility for other people's fucking kids?
It's either one of two things. These so called needs are either so trivial it's fuck all to do with anyone else and the parents can fucking take responsibility, or if these children are in such a bad way why isn't the Government taking care of the issues? Are we really to rely on Terrence fucking Wogan to ensure starving kids get fed, and homeless kids get shelter? What a fucking sham!
And another thing, since when has Bobby Davro been in fucking Eastenders?????????????????????????![]()

Re: Children in Need............
Bobby Davro was in it a couple of weeks ago, for a week ii think. He ran over Shirley.

Re: Children in Need............

Re: Children in Need............
I don't think many people see charitable donation in that way, whatever it's for. I'm not a great giver where charity is concerned, not because I'm tight (I think most people that know me would say I'm pretty generous, if not extravagant!) - I just don't feel the guilt.
I'm busy busting my balls to look after my own family and ensure they are not a burden on anybody, and paying a shedload of tax, so I see that as doing my bit. But if the boot was on the other foot and a few bob could help significantly change my kids quality of life, and it was money I couldn't find, I'd be happy to take it from the state or any charity offering help. They aren't kids for long, and we were all kids once.
The thing I can't stand about Children In Need is they expect you to stay up until 2am to watch a show that is pretty much crap. The bits I've seen tonight have been rubbish - Simon Cowell would have had a field-day with most of the live musical performances, and at half eleven I had to call time. Utter bollox.

Re: Children in Need............
Does children in need cater for children in this country or everywhere?
What a hoot!

Re: Children in Need............
They had some great prizes up for auction on the radio, but at winning bids of up to quarter of a million it's way out of most listeners leagues.
Re: Children in Need............
Worst night of the year for telly.
I only watched the Doctor Who bit.

Re: Children in Need............
Nearly all of these charities are only helping children who will in turn beget more children for future generations of do-gooders to help.
For almost as long as I can remember, they've been trying to save the world and it's simply not possible.
Give them food, the tools and seeds, fishing nets, free vasectomies, condoms or whatever, nothing works and never will.
Worst of all, give them money, much of it will end up buying guns and ammunition, or lining the pockets of their politicians.
