Boiling the Frog...how to fool nearly everyone enough for world domination.

Another in my occasional episodes of rant.

Did you know if you put a frog in cool water and raised the temperature only slowly he can't tell the difference? You can boil him alive-he won't jump out.

If you introduce change gradually enough, it won't get noticed.

Now think of world situations right now.

Global warming-now remarketed as climate change. This one has many different levels of frog boiling. Those that believe it to be real and mainly man made think that the majority don't see whats really happening due to not "noticing".

Those on the other side of the fence often believe that the whole issue is propogandized nonsense with only a flimsy amount of evidence. The purpose being to get the population used to the idea of draconian restrictions and punitive levels of taxation. It's true there are some brands of politician who'd like to go back to "lord and fiefdom" style living :-).

In another issue-security and terrorism. Echoes of my previous rant here. I'm believing that a scared population is easier to control. As is a population that also feels guilty. If you see a pattern...there may be one.

Gradually we've had a build up of events, strands in a web if you like. These over the last 40 years are adding up to a gradual means of deeper population control.

Maybe.

See how real paranoia can be made to work here?
Take the metaphor of the "boiling frog"..and use it like a lens. Take a look at stories from the past ten years...anything you choose that's quite major and is part of an ongoing theme.

Look where and how it is reported, what language is used and how that language affects you.

I think climate change just does happen ie ice age and so forth, however I do think we have accelarated it due to polution, emmisions etc. All man has done has made it come quicker than what it would of otherwise.

I think goverments are using climate change/global warming as an excuse to get more money out of people.

Yes we do need to take responsibilty for what we throw away. Fook me if I didnt recycle me beer cans and bottles there would be a world shortage.

However why should I have to pay for what and how much rubbish I throw away. Thats what I pay me council tax for

Governments are far more addicted to taxes than an army of crack crazed chavs. Any excuse. Why they are so stupid as to require seperate taxes I'll never know. It's just a con job.

I can understand measures being brought into place to get us to recycle and so forth, but what fucks me off is half of my household waste cant be recycled, packagin from supermarkets is one of them. Supermarkets and so forth need to start revising the way they pack things.

Yes we should look after our in enviroment, but fuck me why should I have to pay to

The obvious route would be to make all packaging minimal and recyclable/biodegradable.

There's no need masses of extra taxation and bullshit.
Instead if they can phase out the very silly unrecyclable + non degradable crap packaging, the problem becomes a lot easier. You simply only have recycling sites.

Improving packaging overall should mean less for the householder to do. It's no good a government wishing for people to all suddenly become mean and green. Instead it should rely on the general psychology. For the most part that is somewhat lazier than they'd like. Some are conscientious and some can't be arsed.

So make it automatic. There are technical issues to do with seperating metals from everything else I guess-that's what scientists are for :-).

From what I can tell so far Timey, I think your probably right.

We'd do better learning to generate clean power, more efficient technology and 100% recyclable packaging. Oh and turning arguements into electricity...yeah..that would do it.

Some forums would run London that way.
