Why can't those sodding hospitals just do a bit of cleaning? It's ridiculous. They seem to have no idea at all.

It's a chuffin disgrace. A friend of a friend's mother paid to have a private room in the hospital when she had an hip op and she got her family to be on guard 24/7 to make sure anyone that entered washed their hands. And yep! They had to be specifically asked to, doctors, nurses, consultants the lot.

It's also the fault of doctors in general for over-prescribing antibiotics. There are these antibiotic-resistant strains emerging now that are really difficult to treat.

I think it is a miracle that we are not overcome with similar diseases and bugs that we can not control. we barely have a handle on the ones we do know about. It would not take much for a world wide plague to break out and kill millions, or worse..wipe out life, or animals, or poison the seas, etc. In some respect it is already happening.
