The strange thing is that I hardly ever see one hoofing it, usually 2 together in a car.

Doez anyone have any idea how many hours rozza vehicles just stand in the police station not actually being driven, tiz a lot from that which I observe..

Well the way that I see it is that not many police *prevent* crime at the moment, so it won't make much difference. Most of their work is in dealing with the aftermath of crime.
