    Default Tax Avoidance

Jimmy Carr is one of thousands of wealthy Britons using an offshore scheme to pay a little as 1 per cent income tax, it was claimed last night.
The comedian is understood to be the largest beneficiary of a Jersey-based accountancy arrangement said to shelter £168million a year from the taxman.

Yes, that's true, but if they coose as many as they can then it becomes harder to do and a lot of money is recouped. I just thought this one, which is one of the more common ones, was being closed.

Gordon Brown closed it when he was Chancellor but George Osbourne has "Inadvertantly" allowed it (NO accusation here BUT , it is common knowledge that Georges familys trust is ran from Jersey I think or Guernsey call me cynical but mistakes happen!) NOT

So how comes Osborne himself has described such schemes as "morally repugnant"? It seems to me that even when the Tories do the right thing, they re accused of doing the opposite.
