    Default Holiday Money.

Do you buy your holiday Euros now at approx 1.20 ish or wait and see if a better deal comes your way?

Compare Holiday Money shows you the current rates and we have charts showing the trends over the week, month and last three months.

I personally would not rush out and buy currency right now but you can watch the rate and see if it starts to level off and then buy. The most important thing is don't go for any deals that seem too good to be true and just accept that if you are happy with the rate you get then that is fine, don't kick yourself if the rate inches up ten minutes after you bought your money as sod's law say it always do that.

    Default Holiday Euros

They are just over 1.20 now, does one wait to see if we can get more or take this figure in case they go down???

I get mine when I need them, haven't got the time to speculate on the value and what it might do.

To be honest the difference it will make isn't worth fussing about. Granted if you were getting thousands it might be but for a few hundred pounds for holidays just get them!

Yep, that's what I do. Some people seem to get very uptight about these things.

I heard some financial guy say it could get to 1.50 this year. Good for holidaymakers, not good for our exports.

True Timey , I can see the pound being de-valued yet ! or the bank of England will up the interest rates (Good for pensioners and investors but not good for mortgage payers!)So again the rich get richer but in the investment and pensioner side I am happy enough for that

Devaluing the pound would be drastic and very much a last resort. Doubt that would happen. I'd be happy for interest rates to go up as I have a fixed rate mortgage and would like my investments to gain a bit more than they do.
