I had 2 Macz in Alicante last year and they were not too bad.

I don't really see why people try to get on their high horses about McDonalds food anyway. Yes it's not something you should eat every day, but that goes for most things. A balanced diet is best.

Why do we put up with such shite food in this country? We have great ingedients availablebit they always get ruined by rubbish preparation and cooking. We just seem to put up with it and some people even think it is OK, so it never changes. I had to leave most of a meal at a service station the other day (yes I know, not really the best place to go for decent food) as the steak pie had inch thick pastry with very tough and gristly meat (most of it was fat I think), plus the pie was red hot but the potatoes and peas were stone cold. Another pet hate of mine is that you go into, say, Frankie and Benny's, which advertises itself as an American-Italian diner, and if you get the panackes and bacon it is not crispy, streaky bacon, but the usual fatty, stringy, cold and soggy back bacon. This is one area the Americans get right and we so often get wrong.
