    The number of children who count English as their mother tongue are now in the minority at more than 1,600 schools across England.

    There are about 25,000 schools in England, how many in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland? Another 5,000?

    So about 5% say that pupils with English as their first language are a minority. That's 5% of schools, not 5% of pupils. The 5% of schools could well be these tiny faith schools with about a dozen foreign kids in them.
