    Is it, or is it not, a tad harsh to burn witches ?

    Surely they could be given a stern ticking-off or a fine or be made to do some 'unpaid work in the community'. We could confiscate their broomsticks as well.

    Perhaps a stretch in the nick for more serious witchery ?
