A few bad eggs have spoiled it for the rest of the decent murderers.

I read about Brewer's meal request the other day, didn't realise he never even ate it. It got me wondering though, when someone is executed they have a tendency to involuntarily empty their bowels, surely it would make more sense to starve these men for 24-48 hours before humanely electrocuting or poisoning them?
