Default Harm Your New-Born-Go To Work.

Half of British mothers now go out to work before their child’s first birthday – despite clear evidence it can harm their development, an authoritative international report has found.

Britain a world leader in working mothers: And it's harming children's development, warn global report | Mail Online

I believe and think it is important for mothuz to be with their children until 5 years of age and go to school.
Bonding with a mother seems so natural.

It's all in the name of equality so that makes it OK.

I agree with you to an extent Major! but a single mother is a diferent kettle of fish! most mothers want the best for thier kids be it that they bypass the benefits system and "WORK" and provide a decent living /Home! we can not have it all ways we have to think about peoples circumstances!!

I'd have gone mental if i'd have stayed at home till mine was five. I needed to work, to talk about things other than babies for one. I was lucky enough to be able to work part time though so I just did three days a week, my mum had him one day and he went to a child minder and then a nursery for the other two. He loved it, he loved being with other kids and it might sound a bit backwards but I really missed him when he wasn't with me so it made me cherish the time I did have with him, y'know, like rather than put things off because they could be done tomorrow, we just did it there and then.

Surely the best idea would be to keep the little buggers in some kind of institution until they're about five, and more fun, anyway?
