Should horse racing be banned?

Using animals in sport is deemed to be cruel, horses forced to race are reported to be treated very badly. They're whipped during the races, and any that fair to perform are shipped off to France to be eaten.

I can't talk about this as I have gone 'hoarse' from a good 'nag' from my wife who threatened me with a 'colt' 45. If she carries on I will be out looking for a young 'filly'.
If she reads this I will be kicked out to the nakuz yard.

I like to see the actual horse race but not all the preamble.
I have been around horses for a good while but not a direct interest like me old man who had a few.
I have seen hunters and polo ponies mistreated by being punched and kicked but only on odd occasions.
I have seen gundogz have the shit bashed out of them as a 'training technique'.
I have voiced my disgust but it is like water off a dux back.

As I enjoy horse racing I am biased , I do like to watch and have the (Ahem) occasional bet; Horses appear to enjoy the races but if it was obvious that racing was detrimental to them then yes it should be banned ! Animals have as much right to a happy life as much as we do!
