    Default Dining In Someones House

I bleedin hate it,have turned invitations down over the years so now I do not get any and boy oh boy, am I pleased.

They put a plate of food before you which you do not like, what do you do?

If you are asked why you have left your food how do you reply?

They give you shit wine which terrorises your tonsils, what do you do?

I will go to the kids for snap but nowhere else.

    How about thee?

I know what you mean. If we go to my mum's she usually serves up something that is just plain weird if not totally bowfin', plus frozen desserts that are barely defrosted and are usually a block of ice in the middle. And if you leave any of it she quizzes you on why you haven't eaten it. And then if you say because it looks and tastes like sick she gets offended. Well she did ask!

I don't get invited to anyones house and i've never been to a dinner party

Years ago my mate, when she first met her husband, he would cook for us, that was good cos he was a triffic cook but it was never like a dinner party, it was just like me and my mate had our own chef. He was happy in the kitchen whilst me and her nattered away.

I just turn it down altogether. Half the time it'll be something I can't eat, wont eat, and the other half will be poorly-cooked food. Last time I went I wound up with cold chicken. You do not serve roast chicken eight hours after it was cooked. Ever. It's meant to be hot and moist, not a hiccup-causing menace.

Oh, and putting hot pizza on a cold plate. Soggy bread anyone?

hehe we're a right fussy bunch arnt we?

Do any of us host dinner parties?

I don't, I have had mates round for nibbles but it's been a very laid back affair (mostly drinks). But I've never had a dinner party, I think because I don't want to be doing with the stress of it all and would prefer to chat to my mates rather than be stuck in the kitchen worrying over cooking times.

Oh, my mum does that too. she'll spend ages heating stuff up only to leave it to go cold again before we get to eat it. I hate that.
