    Default Cosmetic Surgery on Pets.

    Tail docking, ear cropping etc....

Are these acceptable practices, or just animal cruelty?

I think there's worse things you can do to an animal.

Ck's right, the operations you mention are done under anaesthetic and although I also disagree with them, there are far worse things done to animals and human animals around the world, UK included.

Neither. It's just an out dated tradition that very few people accept as appropriate. A lot like marriage.

I don't like seeing babies or toddlers with their ears pieced. (OT soz)

I thought tail docking had stopped.

To be honest, pets are taken from their natural environment anyway, so you could call that animal cruelty as well. Yellow has his ear tattooed - I'm sure it wouldn't have been his choice, so that's a bit cruel as well. As for his tail - I wish that'd been docked sometimes because he's smashed that many cups while wagging it, it just seems an inconvenience to be honest.
