There are 1.57billion Muslims around the world, meaning that nearly one in four people practises Islam, according to a report published yesterday.

The size of the Muslim population has long been the subject of guesswork, with estimates ranging anywhere from one billion to 1.8billion.

But the report, by the Pew Research Centre's Forum on Religion and Public Life, is billed as the most comprehensive of its kind.

That's not a huge number really is it. Considering 25% of the world's population is Muslim. As for the number increasing, last I checked they seemed to be killing themselves off at quite a high rate.

So what if a handful of them practice a different religion?

At least they are consistent, as opposed to British peeps that were Christened but only turn up for the family service at Christmas.

what a fuking waste of time church is . you work all week and can think of nothing better to do with your sunday ,than spend it in a place where probably abuse has occurred.. and ...as if there could be an ..and... but. and. you put all your faith,your life your ideals your dreams...into a non existent nothing...
