Tesco: Religious Discrimination
Tesco in Bangor have discriminated against a bloke because of his religious beliefs. They are happy to let Muslims use their shop wearing burkhas, but they won't let a 23 year old bloke wear a hood, despite it being part of his religious beliefs.
Tesco Discriminate Against Jedi | The Morningstarr*
The bumholes at Tesco reckon that they shouldn't wear hoods in public, because Yoda didn't. That is just ignorance, this isn't a film, it's a religion. It doesn't fucking matter what happens in the film, this bloke created the Church of Jediism, and if he says they have to wear hoods then they have to wear hoods.
If Tesco don't discriminate against other religions, I don't see why they should be allowed to discriminate against this one.

Re: Tesco: Religious Discrimination
The last thing we need is more religions claiming discrimination and persecution. I am actually quite taken by the response from Tesco and, to be perfectly honest, I rarely am taken by anything coming from them ...

Re: Tesco: Religious Discrimination
Maybe Mr Morningstarr* ... in fact, I'll go so far as to say, without a doubt. What I cannot accept is that Jediism has either the force of custom or tradition to uphold the claim regarding the 'hood' as a religious requirement.
In fact, I would go further and state that I believe the wearing of a religiously required 'hood' by Morda Hehol, aka Daniel Jones, was a deliberate attempt to provoke the reaction he actually managed to gain, thereby gaining publicity for the church he founded in January 2008.
Re: Tesco: Religious Discrimination
I do not have time for so called religions and there followers in the main.
If they ain't killing. maiming one another they are having young age sex with children.
The old lady by me who I help has been a church member since time began I reckon but none of the rotten basxxxxx from her congregation ever come near her and offer help which she needs.
I am about the only one who does help her.
So much for religion.
