One religion is just as ridiculous as the next. The point is that you should be able to wear whatever you fucking like, if it's OK for one person to cover their head in Tesco it should be fine for everyone.

There is a decided difference between hoodies and other headgear apparently; same as there is between wearing motorcycle helmets as opposed to skullcaps into a bank.

Ridiculous? Maybe ... however until the emotive eejits stop reacting to emotive headlines, calling for government to tighten their control you won't see any changes ...

And the difference is a prejudice against young men wearing hoodies. That might also piss people off, I wouldn't really like to be treated like a common criminal either just because I was wearing a hood.

I'm pretty sure the younger Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn had their hoods up in The Phantom Menace.

Nope not really ... the difference is that there is a perception that people wearing motor cycle helmets within banks are a security risk and that people wearing hoodies are not easily identifiable via CCTV.

That's what you get when you have a load of eejits reacting to a few miscreants by screaming to the authorities.

I agree Tesco is discriminating and I do hope the Jedi takes them to court. I'll bet that Tesco won't like that...but then, I wonder if Judges are afraid of Muslims as much as Tesco is?

If this guy was just trying to make a point I am still with him. It doesn't matter how old the religion is or where it came from this is still discrimination. There are a lot of people getting away with wearing masks of one kind or another when signs ask them to remove hoods, helmets etc all in the name of religion.
One of these days one of these masked 'young women' will produce a machine gun from under 'her' robes and start shooting indiscriminately. All faces should be exposed to security cameras or you don't go there! I think we should all start new religions with similar rules and make more fuss in public places.
Myself, I am a worshipper of the Goddess Annoia, the goddess of things that stick in drawers so you can't open them! I decree that we wear face masks so as to muffle the swearing!

Another Jedi has been discriminated against for wearing a hood, this time at the JobCentre in Sarff-end.
