Man 'ram-raids closed chemist' to get drugs

A 47-year-old man was arrested after driving a car into a chemist shop at Mooroopna in northern Victoria this morning.

Police say the Shepparton man went to the shop to get restricted prescribed medication, but it was shut.

He then allegedly stole a car from nearby and drove it through the glass front doors.

The man was later arrested at his house and drugs were recovered.

The man will face several charges in the Shepparton Magistrates Court next month.
