Aha ... as I thought. The pill supposedly works on kleptomaniacs. Not all shoplifters are kleptomaniacs. Some, in fact most, are merely thieves!

Kleptomania is a compulsion to steal. An overwhelming urge, folloosed by guilt, and shame.
Most shop lifting , I am sure, is carried out by people who just want something for nothing. Or kids, trying to impress their mates.
I am sure this "pill" would,nt really make much difference to the amounts stolen.
