    Default Stopping smoking

Anyone tried and succeeded, so they can give me some tips?

I'm having problems, but not the ones I expected. I feel very very tired all the time (as though I'm gonna just drop on the spot), I've got no concentration at all and I'm extremely hungry. I'm coping with the cravings at the moment, but the other stuff is gonna get to me if it carries on. I don't mind putting weight on (I can go up another stone without it being noticeable if it's just short term), but I don't really want to replace cigs with food if I can help it.

    I tried a number of times,to stop,A_B...

Cutting back, swapping to cigars coz I thought I'd smoke less and ended up smoking them like fags,so it cost me even more...

There really is only one way and that's willpower...

It was a while ago,but from what I remember, the cravings dissipate over time until eventually you don't even think about them...

Sorry to be of no help at all...

I'd rather you just said, thank you and went on your way..

I think I've got the willpower. I'm stubborn when I set my mind to something, so I won't be giving in. The cravings are okay - I don't even want a cig and being around people smoking isn't bothering me. What I actually want is a huge plate of never ending food, so I'm fighting with that rather then the loss of nicotine.

I only usually have two meals a day, so it looks like I was running on nicotine and my body now needs to replace what's lost with food. I just can't do anything at the moment because of hunger, tiredness and total lack of concentration. I'm topping myself up with food a little bit but the hunger is still there, yet I can't actually pop anymore food in unless I snack (which I really don't want to start doing).

    Rubik's Cube?

They reckon you should try to occupy your mind. Either that or try to sleep through it.

I tried that for a few hours on the first day, so I can't do it too often.

It's food I've got the problem with. I don't usually have breakfast, but for breakfast today I've had a huge family bar of chocolate, a bag of crisps and a bowl of sugar puffs.

Someone told me that brushing your teeth and then sipping ice cold water helps with the food cravings.

I've only given up with patches or nicoteen gum so I never had cravings like that.
