Why don't you ask her Major. By the sounds of it, seeing as she is a surrogate mum, it seems as if she is allowing herself to be used as a living incubator for those unfortunates who cannot carry babies to birth. But without any link to a story, there isn't much else to go on but what you have written so it is difficult to form a definite opinion.

Myself I would have no issue with the concept though I would wonder why, with so many children that for one reason or another are without a family of their own, we need to bring more children into the world.

Every woman,I've known,that has been pregnant,has whinged about it...

Bad back,etc... I've never yet,met a woman that enjoys being pregnant... That doesn't mean they don't exist,just,that I've never met one...

Well, without a link Major we can only go by what you tell us. I can tell you thought that here in the UK you can only claim back any expenses arising directly from the pregnancy so there won't be any monies to speak of.

I've heard that with alot of surrogate mothers it can get to be a bit of an addiction...The feeling of being needed so much, being the most important person in someones life for 9 months, the attention ect. That makes sense, kind of.

It's a very unselfish thing to do. I can imagine though, it could cause all manner of upset, if the "right" person, is,nt doing it. You would have to be pretty detached emotionally, to be able to give your child up. I have heard of surrogates changing their minds, at the last minute. To be a surrogate Mum 12 times! eeek.
