If you thought Valentine's Day was aimed at young love then you were wrong, as new research reveals sex does get better with age and the older you are, the more satisfied you are expected to be on the most romantic day of the year.

Of those lucky lovers romping this Valentine's Day, the age group most likely to be satisfied is 35-39 year olds (85 per cent), but right behind them is the 40-44 year olds.

But we're not saying that past 44 you're over the hill, because two thirds of people over 60 are likely to be satisfied with their love making as well, compared to only 44 per cent of 18-19 year olds.

Women in the North East of the country might not be so lucky though, as the survey carried out by condom manufacturer Pasante showed that they would rather have chocolate than sex this Valentine's Day!

In my experience, no it doesn't get better with age. Quiet frankly, it becomes too much bother and there are other things I'd rather do.
