One was turned into a sort of folk hero, the other into the personification of evil ...

So really it boils down to retribution and not whether anyone is a risk or anything. Biggs was given a prison sentence, just like Brady, for crimes he committed. Why should he be allowed to get out early when others don't?
Well Biggs has now served a third of his origional 30 year sentence. The rules state, that after serving a third of the sentence, parole can be applied for.
Brady got life, not a set number of years. So the two cant be compared.

Yeah and Brady can be released on life licence when no longer judged to be a risk. Well he's hardly a risk is he so he could be released just like Biggs.

Being a risk to the public, is only one criteria though.
Biggs is still there, cos he got one over on the establishment. Brady is still there, cos he,s an evil bastard.
    stalemate.

Biggs has done less than ten years of his original 30 year sentence, and that's not counting what he should get on top for breaking out of prison.

At least Brady has served his time. He's done over 40 years.

According to all the News, Biggs has served just over 10 years, altogether.

He will PROBABLY die in Prison, cos it does,nt seem like he's in the best of health. To put it mildly.

Brady will DEFINATELY die in prison. Just as his accomplice did.

If you, I mean any foruma, were forced to make a decision on which one to let out of prison, who would it be, Biggs or Brady?

    I would release Biggs.

I wouldn't release either. Neither of them has to be released, so let the fucker's rot. They should have stayed on the right side of the law.

Me to. He has served a third of his sentence, the norm, before parole is applied for, so I would let him out now.
The main reason being, he never actually hurt anyone, he was a petty criminal, who stupidly decided to escape, rather than serve his time. Now he has, and he is incredibly ill. I think its the only humane thing to do.
Brady, is a piece of sh**, who deserves to rot in hell, which I hope he does. He will certainly rot in jail.
But how can we compare two people, one who had a part in nicking a couple of million quid, and one who actually tortured and murdered innocent children?.
