    Default Internet Censorship

The head of the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit is calling for websites containing information on necrophilia and cannibalism to be shut down.

Detective chief superintendent Len Hynds says he wants to make the internet a more law abiding place, and how does he want to do this? By making innocent people criminals of course!

If the sites he's pissing and moaning about aren't already criminal, and their content is purely fantasy, then what good would making the owners of these sites criminals do?

    The answer is nothing.

What they're actually trying to do is police our thoughts, again. It's the same old argument that life imitates art and that the media corrupts people. Fucking horseshit.

Hopefully his plans will be unworkable, censorship is far worse than people looking at mock-ups of necrophilia or chatting about eating people. There are laws against true crimes, we don't need laws on thinking about crimes.

Agreed. If you take his argument to it's conclusion then any crime novel or film would be illegal too.

They should concentrate of catching real criminals, not making new ones.

I've never bought that shit that videos and albums encourage people to commit crime, it's a load of nonsense. It's about time they gave it up.
